Shoolin Mehta, a student from Melbourne High School, Arkansas, United States of America, made a meaningful impact by working with women and adolescent girls in Bhubaneswar to raise awareness about climate change and its effects. Valentina Aomi, a student from Sidney, Arkansas (USA), interned with Humara Bachpan Trust in Bhubaneswar from June 6 to June 20, 2023, focusing on the sexual and reproductive health (SRH) of adolescent girls in urban slums. She participated in focused group discussions, conducted interviews, and visited resource centers to explore menstruation myths, assess community health services, and evaluate SRH education in schools. Valentina’s efforts also included engaging with parents to understand changing perspectives. Her dedication and insightful contributions were instrumental in addressing critical health challenges and promoting awareness among adolescent girls.
