International Women's Day 2021

BSCL in association with HBT organised games, Debates, and discussions at Bijaylaxmi Sahi and Pathara Bandha Sahi for Women living in the community to spread awareness about women’s rights. About 140 women participated in the activities in both communities.

Felicitation and observation of the IWD-2021 event were organised by Humara Bachpan Trust at Sahajbahal village of Dhankouda block Sambalpur today. CDPO Dhankouda Ms. Puspanjali Mishra, BDO Dhankauda Mr. Basant Hati, Kardola Sarpanch Ms. Biswobandhya Badhai, Basantpur Sarpanch Mr. Udaya Mirdha, Panchayat Samiti President, and Anganwadi workers of Gadmunda, Gobindpalli, and Sahajbahal villages were present at this event. 60 women trainees from Sahajbahal & Gadamunda villages were also present. They shared their experiences about life skill training that how they have gained confidence and are willing to do some income-generating activities to have a better ‘Say’ in family and society. Trainees of Sahajbahal villages staged a ‘Role Play’ about how women can effectively solve problems and make decisions in the family. 60 women were felicitated with training completion certificates by the guests.

Hemgir Block Chairman Ms. Sudharani Raudia, Kendudihi Panchayat Samiti Member Shri Aswini Dandasena, Kendudihi Sarpanch Ms. Rinki Majhi, Ward Member Ms. Laxmipriya Khamari, IIC Hemgir Sri Bipin Bhoi & NTPC Livelihood Consultant Shri Srikant Pattnaik graced the occasion. 250 women trainees from Kendidihi & Hemgir panchayats were present. They shared their experiences about life skill training that how they have gained confidence and how they have taken up different livelihood activities post-P.A.C.E. training. Trainees staged a ‘Role Play’ about different forms of gender-based violence. 10 women were felicitated for showing leadership in solving village issues and for adopting income-generating activities after HBT’s intervention on the occasion. 200 women were provided with training completion certificates. Women participants and guests expressed thanks to HBT for organizing such event first time in the locality.

On the occasion of international women’s day, 40 adolescent girls training were provided with a training completion certificate at kuanrbaga village of tangarpali block today.

Ms.Dharitri Patnaik, Founder chairperson, Humara Bachpan Trust addressed the Senior officers of the Railway Protection Force and facilitated women officers on the occasion of International Women’s Day. The program was organised by the Railway Protection Force(RPF) at East Coast Railway Head Quarters.

On the occasion of International women’s day at Durgamadhab.The objective of programme was to create awareness among people for their rights, opportunities, and leadership in different situations through role-playing.

International Women’s Day 2021 was celebrated in Satapada. Awareness of women’s rights was conducted. Additionally, training on health and hygiene was also imparted due to the covid-19 situation.
